Yesterday Matt rocked a 7 mile trail race put on by the Hawaiian Ultra Running Team (HURT) Crew. The race started from a state park at the top of Tantalus and consisted of 7 muddy rocky rooty miles of trails, complete with a dead boar lying across the trail at one point. Matt took first place with a flourish, finishing more than 5 minutes ahead of the second place guy! Matt's parents also came out to the race to support him and we were all so proud of him.
